Anne Idsal '05

IdsalAnne L. Idsal graduated from Washington and Lee in 2005 with a B.A. in Politics. Upon graduating she moved to Washington, DC to work for US Senator John Cornyn (TX) as a staff assistant, legislative correspondent, and finally as a legal assistant on the US Senate Judiciary Committee.

After several years in Washington, Anne returned home to Texas to attend Baylor Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Administrative Law in 2010. She promptly relocated to Austin to work at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Anne began her tenure as an assistant general counsel, then as an executive assistant and special counsel to TCEQ Chairman Bryan W. Shaw, and finally as the general counsel for the agency.

Today, Anne is the Chief Clerk and Deputy Land Commissioner at the Texas General Land Office under Commissioner George P. Bush.
