CampusRec Staff

The CampusRec program would not operate without our incredible student leaders. Whether they're running a spikeball tournament or teaching a spin class or checking out pickleball sets or restocking weight racks, our team works tirelessly to help the W&L community stay active in all kinds of different ways. Opportunities to get involved include the following:

  • Intramural Specialist - Intramural Specialists manage schedules and games for the intramural leagues. From registration to championship game, they handle all logistics and setup — the schedule itself, the setup of the court or field, scorekeeping, assisting refs when needed, and keeping play safe and respectful for all individuals and teams. This position is limited to juniors and seniors.
  • Campus Recreation Assistant - Campus Recreation Assistants process all recreation equipment checkouts. Equipment available for checkout includes corn hole boards, kan jam, soccer balls, basketballs, kickballs and bases, spikeball nets, pickleball kits, and more! The Campus Recreation Assistants also support many of the GroupEx and Club Sport administrative tasks, as well as various facility needs.
  • Group Exercise Instructors - GroupEx Instructors come to our program from a variety of different fitness interests. Many of them have taught before at home studios, but several of them are also first time instructors. They complete online or in-person fitness instructor certification on their own, with the CampusRec office sponsoring their CPR training. Instructors are also from all over campus — we have undergraduate and law student instructors, faculty and staff, as well as community members.

If interested in getting involved in our staff, reach out to Ben!
