Teaching with the Collections

Teaching with the Collections

The Museums at W&L seeks to facilitate the cross-disciplinary use of the museums’ collections by creating partnerships that enhance the curriculum. Staff members are happy to arrange handling sessions, lectures, and/or a tour for visiting classes.

Enhancing the Curriculum

The Museums at W&L can host visiting classes at the Reeves Museum of Ceramics, Watson Galleries and the Lee Chapel and Museum. Art, art history, gender studies, history, politics, dance, writing chemistry, and accounting classes have integrated collections into their curriculum.

Visiting Classes

Visiting classes can be held in the Lee Chapel and Museum, the Reeves Museum of Ceramics, and Watson Galleries. Handling sessions, lectures, and/or tours can be arranged for classes. To setup a visit, please complete our inquiry form.
