Catch up with your classmates, virtually! Although we cannot gather in-person right now, we encourage all members of the class of 2010 to log on to this zoom meeting to see familiar faces. Grab your favorite beverage and sit for a chat! Conversation is good for the soul, and we all need that right about now.
Young Alumni Weekend
We are still disheartened that we won’t be welcoming our young alumni back to campus this fall. But, we are so excited to offer a slate of virtual events so you can still connect with your classmates! Check this page as we add events to the schedule. We look forward to welcoming all young alumni back to Lexington in fall 2021!
YAW has gone mobile! Get the guide to access the most up-to-date information about the weekend, including schedules, playlists, and much more. Get our guide here. All events will be held via Zoom. Register below for individual events. All times are EST.
Thursday, October 29
It’s time to reconnect (virtually)! Even though we can’t be together at the moment, we encourage all members of the class of 2015 to join us for this zoom meeting to catch up on each other’s lives. Grab a drink and cheers to five years!
Friday, October 30
Tune in to hear from President Will Dudley on how our faculty, staff and students are faring with our current campus situation and on the issues of the day. Distinguished Young Alumni Awards will be conferred on 2020 winners Katie Sinks Baird ’10 and Marquita Robinson ’10. And finally, we will recognize our young alumni annual fund efforts.
Join other young alumni from all graduation years for a fun, interactive, live trivia event. This memorable activity will have you split into teams that will grapple with pop culture and customized W&L trivia. We’re bringing in some professionals for this one, so be sure to sign on for this special, shared experience!
Saturday, October 31
Shake off the cobwebs and start the day with some yoga, hosted live on campus by our own students from the Outing Club and LGBTQ and Peer Counselors! Enjoy views of campus and some basic yoga to get your Halloween started right.
Spend some time reminiscing about shared late nights and memorable experiences that took place in the confines of the EC room!
Tune in to watch the debut of the University’s virtual tour of the brand new Duchossois Athletic Center (it’s pretty amazing). Follow that up with a chat with some of our young coaches who, along with student athletes, are already benefitting from this state-of-the-art facility.
Join beloved and new staff and current students from the OIE including the LGBTQ, Hillel, and OIE programs. Dean Tammy is looking forward to seeing you!
Chef John will be teaching you young, burgeoning kitchen connoisseurs how to make a basic chicken and pasta meal, complete with a few varieties of the classic cream sauce. It’s just not as hard as it seems! Pull up a chair in his kitchen and watch the master at work.
It wouldn’t be a reunion without gathering with your fellow University Singers and Professor Lynch! Join us for great conversation and an update on how singing is still finding its way in this time of social distancing.
Did someone say reunion?? No one does it better than the alumni office’s favorite Kathekon students! Join Mary and the gang for a laugh-inducing (and probably loud) walk down memory lane.
Student Choral, Music and Dance Performances - 2020 Style!
