One of W&L's signature weekends, Black Alumni Weekend welcomes alumni back to campus to reminisce about W&L while also planning for its future.
What Inspires You?
The goal of W&L's affinity programs is to increase engagement among alumni groups, particularly those who may have lost touch with the university since graduation, by appealing to their varying interests and identities.
A significant aspect of W&L's affinity programs is its events, which seek to re-engage alumni based on shared interests and identities in-person. Alumni Engagement will work hand in hand with alumni to create authentic on- and off-campus events based on specific affinities. Affinity events may be part of existing alumni-focused weekends or alumni chapter events. Affinity Programs may also host designated days, weekends and/or trips (potentially in conjunction with Lifelong Learning) to highlight different affinities on- and off-campus.
During Young Alumni Weekend 2019, QuestBridge Alumni celebrated their fifth reunion on W&L's campus with a reception at the Morris House on the Colonnade.
W&L's student-led Honor System is made possible thanks to the men and women of the EC. During Young Alumni Weekend, they return to their stomping grounds to swap stories and relive some of their big moments!
Every year during Young Alumni Weekend, alumni singers belt it out once again during the Music Department's Open Sing that welcomes back singers for songs and libations.
In January 2018, W&L's Repertory Dance Company joined its Dance alumni in New York City not only to reconnect but also to collaborate and dance together at the Center for Performance Research in Brooklyn.
