Washington and Lee University Office of Alumni Affairs
There are many ways for Alumni to assist Washington and Lee. Alumni across the country and in the United Kingdom volunteer through their chapter or class, through contacts with corporations or foundations, and assisting with admissions interviews and event hosting.
Local alumni chapter leadership positions may include the chapter president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, alumni admissions chair, assistant alumni admissions chair, ACAP Coordinator, Annual Fund liaison, and Law Alumni liaison. To learn more about available positions in your chapter, contact your local chapter president.
Volunteers are always needed to help organize class reunions. If you're approaching a 5-50 reunion year and would like to get involved, contact the Alumni Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or (540) 458-8464.
Alumni Admissions Program
AAP Representatives are an instrumental part of the admissions process, conducting local interviews with prospective students who are unable to travel to Lexington for a campus visit. Some areas are full, but if you'd like to get involved in this program please contact Ellen Austin.
Host or Help with a Chapter Event
The University welcomes assistance in hosting get-togethers and those volunteers who would like to offer their home, local venue, or otherwise assist in a chapter event. Please contact Sue Woodruff.
Corporations and Foundations Contacts
The University welcomes assistance in facilitating valuable contacts which may lead to corporation or foundation support for Washington and Lee's Strategic Plan. For more information on how you can help, contact email@example.com.
