Live from Lex!

Live from Lex are live sessions with faculty, staff and students highlighting various W&L departments and programs. In addition to hearing from members of the W&L communities about the opportunities and activities we offer, and, at the session's end, will hold a Q&A to answer your questions LIVE.

Career Development and Fellowships

This session will focus on internship, career, graduate, and fellowship opportunities available at W&L. Hosted by Molly Steele, Director of Advising for Career and Professional Development and Matthew Loar, Director of Fellowships.

Academic Life

Thursday, April 22 at 6:00pm (EDT)
This session will highlight the unique learning environment and close student/faculty relationships at Washington and Lee, and will be hosted by Mikki Brock, Associate Professor of History; Michael Hill, Professor of Africana Studies; Linda Hooks, Professor of Economics; and Gregg Whitworth, Associate Professor of Biology.

Diversity and Inclusion

Thursday, April 15 at 6:00pm (EDT)
This session, hosted by Tamara Futrell, Dean for Diversity, Inclusion and Student Engagement, will focus on the University’s commitment to creating a welcoming community for all. Join us to learn more about support and affinity opportunities for students with a variety of experiences, cultures, points of view, interests, and identities.

The First-Year Experience

Thursday, April 8 at 6:00pm (EDT)
This session will cover the comprehensive experience of first-year students and the opportunities and support available to them. Some topics include Residential Life, The Leading Edge Pre-Orientation Program, Orientation Week, and our new FYE 100 course. This session will be hosted by Jason Rodocker, Associate Dean of Students and Dean for First-Year Experience, and the student co-chairs of the First-Year Orientation Committee.
