Alumni Interviews

Alumni Interviews

The W&L Alumni Admissions Program (AAP) is a network of alumni volunteers who help with student recruitment activities, including personal interviews.

Alumni interviews are available to applicants in their senior year from the early fall through January 31. Students may complete only one interview, either with an admissions staff member or with an AAP volunteer. Admissions staff interviews and AAP interviews are valued equally in our process. In fact, most applicants interview with an AAP member. Admissions staff interviews and AAP interviews are offered in a hybrid format this year, meaning they are available virtually and in person. In your interview request form, you are welcome to select your preferred format if you have one. Both interview formats are also valued equally in our process.

We will attempt to match every student with an alumnus from your region. Due to the nature of where our alumni volunteers reside, some regions are larger than others, and some states may offer smaller sub-regions. Please request an interview in your state or the nearest sub-region, if available.  If you do not see your state or area represented, feel free to select the area closest to you or visit this page to request an admissions staff interview.

If you have any questions about this process, please contact your Admissions Officer.

Request an Interview

To begin, choose an area close to you. We will do our best to match you with an alumni interviewer who knows and understands your area. You will have the opportunity to select in-person or virtual for the interview format on the registration form.
