University Shuttle Service
W&L and Traveller Transit offers shuttle service for the 2019-20 academic year to/from the Roanoke Airport and the East Falls Church Transit Center in Arlington, VA., with easy connections to Washington DC and Baltimore area airports. The shuttle schedule for departing and returning trips is below. Shuttle dates and times are final and cannot be changed. Shuttles are available for W&L students only (with certain exceptions). If you have questions, please contact Ryan Beauford.
If you wish to utilize the shuttle service, fill out the form embedded below and reserve your space. A shuttle fee of $15 is charged for each way. An additional $15 fee is added for any changes after your initial confirmation. All fees are processed through the Business Office on your student account. Please be aware of the following:
- Cancellations must be made 24 hours before the scheduled departure; failure to do so will result in a $100 cancellation fee each way.
- To be guaranteed a seat, reservations must be made at least 72 hours before the requested shuttle departure.
The Maury Express
The Maury Express is a public transit service that serves Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County. It operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Riders pay a fare of 50 cents upon boarding, except Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute students, who ride free upon presentation of a valid student ID card.
Virginia Breeze
The Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation is teaming up with Megabus to launch bus service between Blacksburg and Washington, D.C., with a handful of stops in between, including Lexington. The route will start on Dec. 1, 2017, running daily between Blackburg and Washington, D.C. The bus stops at the Food Lion in Stonewall Square heading north at 9:45 am and heading south at 2:00 pm.
