Washington and Lee University
The Student Health Center is located in the lower level of Davis residence hall. You can enter from the alley between the back of Davis and Gaines Hall, or by coming down the stairs from the back right corner of the B-D-G quad. You will need your University card to enter the Student Health Center. Limited patient parking is available in the alley behind Davis Hall.
A registered nurse is available around-the-clock at the Student Health Center when undergraduate or law classes are in session. The Student Health Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The nurse on duty takes a meal break from 12-1 PM and 6-7 PM each day, but remains on site for urgent health needs. When the law school only is in session, the Health Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A University physician is available on call to the nurse on duty every day that the Student Health Center is open. 
The Student Health Center is closed during the summer and holiday periods when neither undergrads or law students are in classes. The staff will check messages periodically during these times. A nurse is on duty Monday-Friday 8 AM-Noon to provide assistance when summer special programs are in session. Students or visitors needing more extensive medical care will be referred to a community physician.
The Student Health Center Infirmary has 10 beds available for overnight care (when undergraduate classes are in session) for students who are ill enough to need care in a monitored setting, but who are not so ill as to need hospital care. Emergency medical situations beyond the scope of care at the Student Health Center should be evaluated and treated at Stonewall Jackson Hospital, located just one mile from campus. A physician is on duty in the Emergency Department at SJH at all times.

Physician appointment hours are available daily Monday-Friday during undergraduate and law terms. To make an appointment with the doctor, call the Student Health Center at 458-8401, stop by to schedule with the secretary or see the nurse, or send an e-mail to studenthealth@wlu.edu.
