International Student Orientation

Coming to college is a big deal.

Coming to college in another country is a completely life-transforming experience.

The Center for International Education requires this pre-orientation for all new international students to make the transition to life in the United States and at Washington and Lee University as seamless as it can be. From reviewing visa obligations to handling social security card applications, the Center for International Education has made the contacts so you can ease into your life at Washington and Lee University. The cost of this orientation program is $120 which covers your meals for the week.

The Center for International Studies makes contact beginning in April with international students who are eligible for International Student Orientation. Every effort is made to accommodate students who are interested in trying out for intercollegiate athletic teams which have practices the same week.

International students should make plans to arrive in Lexington on August 30, 2009 to prepare for International Student Orientation.
