Provost Search 2012-13

Provost Candidate Receptions

In Feburary 2013, three finalists for the provost position will be on campus, and staff and faculty are invited to meet them at open receptions. The receptions will held at 4 p.m. in Elrod Commons Living Room on Feb. 11, Feb. 13, and Feb. 25. Provost Search Open Forums

In order to find a new provost who will best serve the needs of the W&L community, the committee invites members of the Washington and Lee community to share views, suggestions, and other input concerning this important search.

The committee has scheduled three opportunities for faculty and staff to provide input.  The times and locations of those meetings will be:

        Tuesday, September 18 at Noon - Hillel Multipurpose Room

        Wednesday, September 19 at 8:00 AM - Hillel Multipurpose Room

        Wednesday, September 19 at 7:00 PM - Hillel Multipurpose Room

 

All faculty and staff are invited to attend. Among others, the following questions that will be raised at the forums:

        1)  What are the likely short and long-term priorities for the next provost?

        2)  What are the likely challenges the next provost will encounter?

        3)  What characteristics, talents, and experience should we seek in the next provost?
