Romance Languages celebrated the awarding of the 2012 Edward Lee Pinney Prize to one of our Spanish majors, Christopher Washnock, pictured here with Professor Matthew Bailey. In recognition of his achievement, the Department presented Chris with a book of the most renowned paintings of the Prado Museum in Madrid, Spain. As part of his coursework in Spanish, Chris spent a summer in Seville, Spain, studying with the Center for Cross-Cultural Studies, and a semester in Perú.
