Showcasing French composers Chausson, Debussy and Ravel in three instrumental combinations, Marinus explores color and light in early 20th-century French music. Coming from the realm of German ultra-Romanticism and into the light air of France, this music creates new atmospheres through timbre and sound color. Sometimes intricate and sometimes lush, this promises to be a delightful program.
