An American History major, Lee Tackett (Alexandria, VA), has always been an avid sports fan and called W&L athletic events on the radio for three years in addition to playing on the Varsity Baseball team. Although he has never been out of the country, Lee has closely interacted with a large Latino population throughout his life in school, athletics, and residence in Northern Virginia. Ultimately, his interest in the Latin American and Caribbean Studies minor came from pure curiosity, as he was particularly interested in the history of the region following the Introductory course he took as a sophomore.
