Come kick off the choral season at W&L with the Chamber Singers, Men's Glee Club, and Cantatrici. The centerpiece of the program will be modern Norwegian Ola Gjeilo's wonderful Northern Lights, which will be performed with literal lights simulating the aurora borealis streaking across the ceiling of the Concert Hall. Also featured on piano will be Vera Higgs '13, who will play Rossini's delightful I Gondolieri with the Chamber Singers in anticipation of their tour through Italy in April. Masterpieces by Jacob Handl, Whitacre, Lauridsen, Schubert, and others will round out the evening, closing with the rousing modern spiritual Roll, Jordan, Roll by Stacey Gibbs and W&L's traditional, Shenandoah.
