Join W&L Music on Sunday, March 17 at 3 p.m. as the Marlbrook Chamber Players present works of W.A. Mozart, Astor Piazolla, and Franz Shubert. Mozart's E minor violin sonata is one of the few truly minor instrumental works where Mozart-generally upbeat beyond all hardship, allows the sadness of the loss of his mother color the short two movement work. The sonata is a rare gem in Mozart's compositions and is poignantly beautiful, even bittersweet. The "Seasons of Buenos Aires" will inspire your heart to dance as only Piazzola can, and the program will conclude with the sublime Schubert "E-flat Piano Trio," one of the latest works the composer lived to hear performed. Three masterworks you won’t want to miss! Concert is free and open to the public.

The Marlbrook Chamber Players feature Jaime Letourneau, violin; Tim Gaylard, piano; and Julia Goudimova, cello. Afternoon works include W.A. Mozart's Sonata for Violin and Piano in E minor, K. 304; Astor Piazolla 's Estaciaones Porteño for Piano Trio (Seasons of Buenos Aires), Verano Porteño (Buenos Aires Summer), and Primavera Poreño (Buenos Aires Spring); and Franz Shubert's Trio No. 2 in E-flat major for piano, violin and violoncello D. 929.
