W&L Geology students have not only a variety of opportunities to study in the field with professors, but they also have opportunities to conduct their own original research. Our BS students complete a thesis with an advisor. In 2012, five BS students advanced their skills as researchers, problem-solvers, and writers while studying pertinent geoscience questions:
