The Williams School Communication Center

For students enrolled in Williams School classes, the Williams School Communication Center provides access to professional writing consultants versed in the particular details of writing within the disciplines of accounting, business, economics, and politics. The focus of the consultants' work is on improving writing with respect to

  • The development, support, and organization of a topic and related arguments
  • Comprehension and objective analysis of one's own ideas and/or those of others
  • Tailoring papers to a particular audience through appropriate style and diction
  • Proper use of writing mechanics

The Communication Center is in Huntley 118 and is open 6-10 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights. Students (or students groups) may sign up for appointments using the sheet posted on the door of Huntley 118. For more information, see http://www.wlu.edu/x53330.xml. Assistance from the Communication Center consultants conforms with the Honor System. Students are, however, encouraged to acknowledge this assistance when pledging their work.
