Meghan joined the major gifts staff in August of 2011, having previously served as the Director of Alumnae Affairs and Campaign Gift Officer at Peace College of Raleigh, N.C., for nearly 11 years. A career higher education development professional, she earned an Associate of Arts degree from Peace College and a B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
As the Director of Parent Giving, Meghan works closely with W&L parents to raise annual and capital gifts in support of the university. She also provides leadership to the Parents Leadership Council, a wonderful network of parent volunteers across the country. These families encourage philanthropic support, foster a welcoming environment for other W&L families, and provide valued parent perspectives to university administration. On her experience with W&L parents, Meghan says, "What impresses me most is how vested W&L parents are in their children's education, even beyond the classroom. Their support is a vote of confidence in the W&L education their child is receiving."
Having been raised in Eastern North Carolina, Meghan came to Washington and Lee from Cary, NC. Meghan is proud to now call Lexington and the Shenandoah Valley her home.
