W&L Hillel is here to make Jewish life fun!!

  • FYSH (First Year Students of Hillel)
    The FYSH (First Year Students at Hillel) program is designed to help incoming students with the transition from high school to college life.
  • Social Activities
    Washington and Lee Hillel sponsors many fun events for all students. Some of the activities held this past year included our annual Great Latke-Hamantaschen Debate, holiday parties, challah-baking classes, Safari Park, Natural Bridge, trips out of town, movie nights, a Bar-Mitzvah celebration, concerts, and study breaks.
  • Shabbat
    First Fridays and Shabbat Shalom
    Washington and Lee Hillel offers a monthly community Shabbat service and dinner starting at 5 p.m., usually on the first Friday of the month.
  • Social Action/Tikkun Olam
    Repairing the World
    Tzedek-Justice / Tikkun Olam-Completing the world / Chesed-Chaity - These ideas are the cornerstones of the Jewish tradition and values we cherish. (But that doesn't mean we can't have fun doing them!)
