A Washington and Lee education extends far beyond the classroom, to a campus life which is vibrant and varied. From the moment that first-year students set foot on campus to the revelry and reminiscences of Senior Night, it's a full four years.

College life isn't all academic, and where you live and what you eat are an important part of every student's experience. W&L requires first-year and sophomore students to live on campus, and offers a variety of housing and dining options to suit the needs of students throughout their four years.

With over 125 student organizations and countless activities to choose from, as well as speakers, concerts, movies and events throughout the year, life at W&L is never dull.

If you're looking to get fit or stay active at W&L, your options aren't limited to the University's 24 varsity athletic teams. From group fitness to intramural sports, camping in the Blue Ridge to rock climbing, you'll find plenty of additional opportunities through the Campus Recreation office.

Service is an important aspect of a W&L education, and the local community is a wonderful extended classroom for our students and faculty. Whether you're simply interested in volunteering your time and talents or supplementing your classroom education by serving others, you can make a difference in town and around the world through community service.
