Before beginning her career in development, Elizabeth worked in both college and independent school admissions. She also spent five years at the Vanguard Group in Philadelphia where she worked first with the Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program before being promoted into the company's Flagship division, reserved for high net worth investors, where she managed a portfolio of clients and their mutual fund investments.
Elizabeth is honored to be "back" at Washington and Lee. During her childhood Elizabeth's family moved many times, both abroad and domestically, due to her father's career with the State Department. But her teenage and early adult years were spent on the farm her parents bought, and still live on, just north of Lexington. Both of her brothers are graduates of W&L, and she remembers, with great fondness, commuting to W&L to take a class with Dr. Sidney Coulling while she was at Mary Baldwin.
