N Street Village was founded in 1972 by members of Luther Place Memorial Church in Washington, DC.Since then, thousands of women have been provided services that address both immediate and long-term needs. In October 2011, N Street Village expanded to include Miriam's House, a residential community for homeless women with HIV and AIDS. In March 2012, N Street Village was contracted to operate a new permanent housing program serving 31 formerly homeless women.
N Street Village offers housing, food, day care, health care, and counseling to women who have a history of homelessness and/or suffer from mental illness, addiction, and/or physical abuse.
