The Office of Religious Life at Washington and Lee University supports all religious traditions by providing opportunities for transformative interfaith dialogue and deepening the awareness of the spiritual and moral dimensions of human wholeness. Multi-faith in nature, this office, and its coordinator Associate Dean Tamara Futrell, cultivates respect among religious faith groups, affirms the connection between intellectual and spiritual life and nurtures religious faith on and off campus by coordinating the sharing of information with local faith communities who primarily provide for the religious needs of students attending Washington and Lee. Programs are designed to deepen faith, broaden vision, develop character and support capabilities for servant leadership, ever mindful of the University’s tradition as a non-sectarian institution.
