September 7: Academic Fair, Stemmons Plaza, 1:00-2:30 PM.

September 24: MRST Luncheon, Chavis Room, "E" hour: Professor David Peterson of the History Department will discuss his recent work on "The Florentine Church in the Fifteenth Century."

October 6 and 7, 2009, 6:30 to 8:30: Masterclass on Commedia dell'Arte and Acting in Masks: Johnson Theatre, Lenfest Hall, 6:30-8:30 PM. Stanley Allen Sheerman, a renowned mask-maker and teacher of Commedia today will provide background on commedia and get people on their feet, in masks, performing Lazzi (the comic routines of the Commedia dell'Arte).

October 23: Concert / Demonstration: Wilson Concert Hall, "B" hour: the City Musick chamber ensemble will give a concert of Renaissance music and discuss their instruments.

October 30: Parent's Day Reception, Elrod Commons, Room 214, 2:00-4:00 PM.

November 3: Public Lecture, Leyburn Library, Northen Auditorium 4:00 PM: Professor Suzannah Lipscomb of Hampton Court Palace, London, will give a public lecture on "Prince to Tyrant: What Changed Henry VIII?"

November 4, MRST Luncheon, Elrod Commons, Room 214, "E" hour: Professor Lipscomb will meet with us to discuss her work informally.

January 28, Pilgrimage Symposium, Chavis Room, "E" hour: moderator, Professor Edwin Craun, English.

February 16, Pilgrimage Symposium, Chavis Room, "E" hour: moderator, Professor Scott Johnson, Classics.

March 26: Public Lecture: Northen Auditorium, Leyburn Library, 6:30 PM: Keynote address of the Mid-Atlantic Renaissance-Reformation Seminar (MARRS): Professor Melissa Meriam Bullard of the History Department of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, will speak on "The Secrets of a Renaissance Merchant in His Studiolo."
