
More than 130 students at W&L hold foreign citizenship, representing more than 50 nationalities in our student body. To encourage first-year international applicants, we automatically waive the $50 application fee for all international students.
To apply for admission, international students living outside the U.S. are required to submit an application that includes:
Interviews are not available for international students living abroad, except in the UK and Mexico. We do not offer Skype or phone interviews.
If you are an international student living in the U.S., please follow the same application instructions as first-year applicants.
If you have enrolled full-time at another university, then you must apply as a transfer student. Please visit our page regarding transfer admissions. The testing requirements listed above are required for international transfer students. Please note, there is no significant source of financial aid available to transfer students.
International students are eligible to apply for both need-based and merit-based financial assistance. Detailed application instructions can be found on the Financial Aid Web site.
