Although extremely frustrating and timeconsuming, learning how to properly analyze data using a program called EEGlab was definitely worthwhile.”

“Each day I worked the two-tiered 50 foot ropes course at the camp for campers ages 9-13 as well as the 80 foot long zip line for campers ages 6-8. Some of my most memorable moments included a 9 year-old twin giving me a hand-made friendship bracelet, seeing campers perform technical climbing moves with skill and comfort 50 feet in the air and watching their faces as they slide off the forty foot swing platform.”

“I screened the patients at the free clinic before they were seen by the physician or nurse practitioner. The screening process entailed of taking a medical history, identifying their chief complaint, vitals, checking glucometers, and running EKGs if necessary. I dealt with a diverse population with mental as well as behavioral issues. I initiated a program called "Ask Me 3" and became a patient advocate in dealing with insurance companies and hospitals.”

I worked in a classroom of 24 boys, ages 7-10, teaching art as well as basic lessons in social studies. With LPTM, I travelled to the White House for President Obama's Father's Day Cookout, led my class on a field trip to Chinatown, and went to a DC City Council meeting to speak about the value of LPTM in Ward 7.”
