All computers connected to the W&L network should meet the following security-related requirements. These may be enforced when a computer attempts to access the Virtual Private Network (VPN), use the secure wireless network or access other network resources.
Macintosh
For all these operating systems, Mac firewall must be turned on
Windows
For all these operating systems, Windows auto-updates and firewall must be turned on.
All Microsoft Windows users must have an updated antivirus program provided by one of the following vendors (Symantec is provided for all University-owned computers, and all student computers):
