    Kelly Cossey is an environmental studies major with minors in poverty and human capability studies and teacher education from Houston, Texas. As a Shepherd Alliance intern, she worked at the Big Ugly Community Center in West Virginia, an organization dedicated to helping people work together to achieve their dreams in kindred communities in Southern West Virginia through dialogue and providing service in the areas of education, art, wellness, local leadership and resources.

    Tyler Gehrs is an economics major with a minor in poverty and human capability studies from Alexandria, Va. As a Shepherd Alliance intern, he worked for the Coopers Ferry Development Association in Camden, N.J., a partner with other communities in the city of Camden that face challenges in an effort to establish a new base of economic activity and to improve the quality of life.

As a Shepherd Alliance intern, he worked at City of Hope in Ntagatcha Village, Tanzania, where he taught English and mathematics to orphans and worked on a variety of construction projects for the orphanage compound.

As a Shepherd Alliance intern, she worked at Refugee, Resettlement, and Immigration Services of Atlanta (RRISA), an organization which provides direct services to refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking and immigrants, as well as to encourages community involvement in world refugee issues.

As a Shepherd Alliance intern, she worked at TRUCE, a summer program in art and media that is part of the Harlem Children's Zone, a community-based organization dedicated to reducing the problems of truancy, violence, foster care, pregnancy, poor school performance, and lack of self-esteem among high-risk New York City youth.

    Chris Washnock is a religion and Spanish major from Greenville, S.C. As a Shepherd Alliance intern, he traveled to Cusco, Peru, where he worked at La Casa de Acogida, a temporary shelter for women survivors of domestic violence and their children.

    Shiri Yadlin is a global politics and religion double major with a minor in poverty and human capability studies from Irvine, Ca. As a Shepherd Alliance intern, she is worked N Street Village in Washington, D.C., a resource center that offers housing, food, day care, health care and counseling to women who have a history of homelessness and/or suffer from mental illness, addiction and/or physical abuse.
