At Washington & Lee our admission process is not only highly personal, but also highly selective. Each year more students apply for the first-year class than we have room to enroll. We believe in examining the entire student in the admissions process. And while the most competitive applicants have typically availed themselves of their high schools' most rigorous programs of study, we also seek out interesting people, with great potential to enrich the lives of others and enliven the world around them. What does our Admissions Committee look for when reading applications?
