What you need to know about the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab
Welcome to the CNL:
Information for Labsters: Guidelines and important tips for working in the lab
Ways to get involved in the lab:
- Directed Individual Research: During the academic year, each student conducts primary research in partnership with a neuroscience faculty member (1, 2, 3, or 4). Students must obtain permission from a faculty member prior to course registration.
- Levy Neuroscience Endowment: A grant specifically geared to fund neuroscience research collaboration between a student and faculty member during the summer.
Additional Research Opportunities:
- Summer Honors Undergraduate Research Program (SHURP): A program at Harvard University offered for undergraduates considering careers in biological/biomedical research sciences (Students must have at least one summer (or equivalent term-time) of experience in a research lab, and must have taken at least one upper-level bio course that includes molecular biology)
- Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU): A program which supports active research participation by undergraduate students in any of the areas of research funded by the National Science Foundation – Students must apply directly to REU sites in their area of interest
