    The Washington and Lee men's and women's outdoor track and field teams had three individuals competing at the Bridgewater last chance meet on Wednesday afternoon.
  • W&L's Berry and Welsh Compete at Duke Twilight
    Seniors Vance Berry (Porte Vedra, Fla./Episcopal) and Michael Welsh (Tullahoma, Tenn./Tullahoma) competed in the 5,000 meters against Division I, II and III runners at the Duke Twilight at the Wallace Wade Stadium on Sunday evening.
  • W&L's Doornbos Qualifies For Nationals In Heptathlon
    The Washington and Lee women's outdoor track and field team hosted the Generals Combined Events Challenge on Friday and Saturday. W&L competed in the heptathlon, which is a two-day, seven event competition and had one athlete qualify for nationals.
  • W&L's Webb Competes at Liberty Twilight
    Washington and Lee senior Elizabeth Webb (Middleburg, Va./Wakefield) competed against Division I, II and III athletes in the 1500 meters on Thursday evening at the Liberty Twilight.

  • July 9, 2009: W&L Men's and Women's T&F Teams Earn All-Academic Status
    The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently announced its 2009 Division III All-Academic Track & Field Teams and the Washington and Lee men's and women's teams were honored.
  • June 4, 2009: Three Generals Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors
    Washington and Lee seniors Elizabeth Webb (Middleburg, Va./Wakefield) and Becca Taylor (Hamilton, Ohio/Edgewood) and junior Billy Billington (Nashville, Tenn./Montgomery Bell) have all been named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III Track & Field/Cross Country Teams as first-team selections.
  • April 16, 2009: Numerous W&L Students Earn Scholar-Athlete Awards
    Washington and Lee Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn has announced that 172 students earned Scholar-Athlete awards during the recently completed winter term. The students are all members of W&L athletic teams and achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.500.
  • April 1, 2008: W&L Announces 2008 Athletic Hall of Fame Class
    Washington and Lee University has announced the 21st class to be inducted into its Athletic Hall of Fame. The class includes Dave Warfield '75, Jack Berry '76, Andrew White '88, Beth Stutzmann '90 and the 1961 Football Team. The group will be recognized at the Athletic Hall of Fame dinner on Friday, Oct. 17, and at the Generals' football game against Hampden-Sydney on Sat., Oct. 18.
  • March 30, 2009: Three Generals Earn ODAC Athlete of the Week Honors
    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 29 and Washington and Lee grabbed the honors in men's tennis, women's tennis and women's track & field.
