Mike Bennett

Mike Bennett is in his second season as an assistant coach with the W&L wrestling program. His first season saw the Generals produce a 7-5 overall record, while four wrestlers earned Scholar All-America honors.

An alumnus of Washington and Lee, Bennett returned to Lexington in the summer of 2007 after serving as a director on the Peace and Prosperity Project, a non-profit issue advocacy organization, and in various capacities for the Indiana Republican Party.

While in Indiana, he had been an assistant coach for the Carmel Middle School wrestling programs and an assistant coach for the Carmel Wrestling Club.

Bennett was hampered by injuries while at W&L, but posted a 16-3 overall record as a junior and was named a team captain as a senior. He graduated from Washington and Lee in 2004 with a degree in business administration.
