Kate Nickols is in her first season as the assistant women's soccer coach at Washington and Lee.

Nickols comes to W&L after serving as a recruiting coach for the National Collegiate Scouting Association (NCSA) since June of 2007.

A 2005 graduate of DePauw University with a bachelor of arts degree in studio art, Nickols was a four-year letterwinner for the Tigers' soccer team.

On the field, Nickols led DePauw to a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) championships and two trips to the NCAA Tournament.

As a junior, Nickols helped guide her team to the NCAA Semifinals, was named team offensive MVP and garnered second team all-conference honors. As a senior, she was named the team offensive MVP for the second-straight season and earned First Team All-SCAC and third team all-region accolades.
