It is our pleasure to introduce you to the Office of Residential Life at Washington and Lee University. The living and learning experience at W&L is based on the tradition of honor. Trust, respect, and civility are principles that guide the experiences of all community members. There are many opportunities to become invested in campus life and leadership activities--be involved! Our staff members provide quality educational and social programs throughout the year that support academic initiatives and foster positive relationships.
The W&L living experience will provide you with the support necessary to become a vital member of the overall W&L community. If you should have any questions throughout the year, please feel free to contact our office at (540) 458-8405.
Best wishes for a fantastic year!
The Division of Student Affairs
Residential Life at Washington and Lee University is divided into three distinct areas:
All first-year and sophomore students are required to live in on-campus housing. Many juniors and seniors also elect to live on campus or live close to campus in apartments or homes in the Lexington community. Due to extensive residence hall renovations beginning in the summer 2013, on campus housing will only be provided for W&L undergraduate students. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate law students until renovation projects conclude in the late summer of 2015.
