A sophomore was accused of Drinking and Driving. He/She was found to have been operating a motor vehicle in Lexington or Rockbridge County with a BAC of .16.

He/She was found guilty of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a vote of 9 to 0. Guilty of Violating the University's Policy on Alcohol by a vote of 9 to 0. Guilty of Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington & Lee Student by a vote of 9 to 0.

In lieu of Suspension, he/she was :

Assessed a Strike
Placed on Conduct Probation for the remainder of the 2005/2006 Academic Year
Assessed 200 hours of Community Service to be completed by the end of the Winter Term, with 150 of those hours to be completed in Rockbridge County

He/She was found guilty of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a vote of 5 to 0 to 2. Guilty of Violating the University's Policy on Alcohol by a vote of 6 to 0 to 1. Guilty of Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington & Lee Student by a vote of 5 to 1 to 1.

In lieu of Suspension, he/she was :

Assessed a Strike, waiving the fine
Placed on Conduct Probation for the remainder of his/her tenure at Washington & Lee
Placed on Social Probation until the end of the 2005 Fall Term
Assessed 150 hours of Community Service to be completed by the end of the 2005/2006 Academic Year, with 100 of those hours to be completed in the Rockbridge County

He/She was found guilty of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a vote of 9 to 0. Guilty of Violating the University's Policy on Alcohol by a vote of 9 to 0. Guilty of Conduct Unbecoming of a Washington & Lee Student by a vote of 9 to 0.

In lieu of Suspension, he/she was :

Assessed a Strike, waiving the fine
Placed on Conduct Probation for the remainder of his/her tenure at Washington & Lee
Placed on Social Probation until March 1, 2006
Assessed 200 hours of Community Service to be completed by the end of the 2005/2006 Academic Year, with an additional 200 hours of Community Service to be completed by the end of the 2006/2007 academic year.
