  • Energy Initiatives
Efforts to reduce our carbon footprint through policies and infrastructure projects that directly reduce the University's energy consumption.
  • Capital Projects
Sustainable design and construction through the use of green materials, systems, and methods.
  • W&L's Sustainability Website
Campus wide initiatives including those managed by Facilities Management
  • Climate Action Plan
Washington and Lee's Climate Action Plan (CAP) sets a course for reducing the University's green house gas emissions by 20% by the year 2020 and reaching carbon neutrality by 2050. The CAP has four major components: education, communication, assessment, and implementation.
