Jessie Ykimoff enters W&L with decidedly defined interests: running and science. But she is open-minded when it comes to her future career plans. She graduated from Parma Western High School in Michigan where she was also very active in her local Christian youth group. But regardless of what she does on campus she sees the Johnson Scholarship as a motivator for fellow students, "I had never heard of any scholarship like this and I believe my success has brought much hope to my high school's student body. The students see my success and realize that money for college is achievable if one is willing to put forth the effort."
