Though Ronald Magee, Jr. was excited about moving to Virginia to attend college as he'd never spent time in this region, he has a direct tie to Washington and Lee. "My father attended Washington and Lee University as an undergrad, so he recommended that I apply." Ronald grew up in Lima, Ohio and attended Shawnee High School. He describes himself as a "nonconformist" in that he "refuse[s] to conform to a society that espouses ‘looking out for number one.'" It's this attitude and his admiration of historical leaders like Martin Luther King, Jr. that makes Ronald a leader on campus. He hopes to become a physician.
