Washington and Lee University

International Students

Washington and Lee University provides both need and merit-based assistance to between 15 and 20 international students in each entering class. Awards range from several thousand dollars to the full annual cost of education ($50,000.00+). It should be understood, however, that admission to Washington and Lee does not guarantee financial assistance.

International students whose parents reside outside of the United States or Canada should complete the following:

College Scholarship Service Profile Application

ATTENTION: Please do not send tax returns or certification of finances to the Washington and Lee Financial Aid Office.

Parents and students who are unable to afford the cost related to the College Scholarship Service Profile may print and complete the International Student Financial Aid Application (ISFAA).  The completed ISFAA should then be mailed or faxed directly to the Financial Aid Office.  Contact information can be found at the left.

International Student Financial Aid Application

International students whose parents reside in the United States or Canada should complete the College Scholarship Service Profile and follow the same application instructions as United States citizens (see Need Based Aid.)

We suggest that you telephone the Financial Aid Office for discussion of complex questions regarding financial assistances as time does not allow long and detailed discussion of questions by fax or e-mail. Simple questions and documents may be transmitted via e-mail or fax, respectively.
