
Flashlight Online allows you to view survey data in two ways: summary and details. The detailed data is only for those who need to explort the data for statistical analysis, or who need to view respondent-by-respondent data.
Here are instructions on how to view and save each kind of data outside of Flashlight:
Log in to Flashlight Online.
1. Click the "analyze" (see below) button:
2. Select the survey you want to analyze.
3. Print the page for your records
4. Save the page to a secure location, such as your personal network storage. The following steps show this operation in the Internet Explorer browser:

To save detailed, raw survey data suitable for analysis in a spreadsheet or database:
1. Repeat steps one and two, above
2. Click on "Follow this link to download data," as shown below:

3. Choose the appropriate formats from the choices, as shown below, then click "download" button:

4. Save the file to a secure location, such as your personal network storage:

5. Next, click on the "close window" button:

6. Now you'll need to download the response codes; click on "To get the response codes for your survey, click here":

7.Use the response code data to interpret the downloaded survey file. In the example below, notice how the codes correspond with the questions and question values. For instance, the question "Web resources, handouts or other workshop-related materials were adequate and helpful" has the response code "R860." The response "Strongly agree" has a value of "1"
