Josh Williamson in in his third year as head athletic trainer for the Generals. He began at working at W&L during the 2004-05 school year as assistant athletic trainer and was promoted to associate athletic trainer in 2005-06, before assuming his current position prior to the 2006-07 school year.
Williamson came to W&L following one year as a graduate assistant Athletic Trainer at DePauw University, where he worked with numerous sports, served as a teaching assistant and supervised the student athletic trainers.
A native of Robinson, Ill., Williamson received a bachelor of science degree in athletic training from Indiana State University in 2003 and a master of science in athletic training from Indiana State University in 2004.
He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association, and the Virginia Athletic Trainers Association. He is certified by the NATA-BOC and the American Sports Education Program, and is an American Red Cross certified CPR and First Aid instructor.
