Finding employment for both members of a couple can be challenging. Washington and Lee offers assistance with networking, resume/CV and cover letter review, interview coaching and other aspects of the job search.
Spouse/partners of applicants or employees of Washington and Lee who are interested in assistance should complete an intake form. Applicants are also encouraged to initiate conversation with department chairs or supervisors during the interview process.
Washington and Lee is a founding member of the Mid-Atlantic HERC which includes job postings from a variety of colleges, universities and research institutions, as well as a dual career search function for all member organizations.
HERC searches will include postings from member institutions including: James Madison University, University of Richmond, the University of Virginia, and Virginia Military Institute.
Lexington is situated a commutable distance to Roanoke, Staunton and Charlottesville, expanding opportunities for couples.
