Workshops and Support

The Office of Faculty Grant Support offers workshops throughout the year providing education and resources that can make the grant process as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

  • New Faculty Orientation
    Smart Grant Seeking- October 15, 2009
    This workshop welcomes new faculty to campus providing an overview of the grants process in general and as it relates to W&L practices and policies.
  • Faculty Panel Discussion
    Crafting a Compelling Proposal
    The faculty panel discussion provides information, insights, techniques, and tips on how to develop a strong grant proposal from concept to submission.
  • Science and Math Grants Briefing
    An Overview
    This session provides information about specific science and math grant-making agencies, giving an overview of the agency's profile, goals, and requirements as well as inside tips from past recipients.
  • Speed Read Session
    A Faculty Grant and Fellowship Peer Review
    This interactive workshop is designed to assist faculty who are planning to submit a grant or fellowship application and can benefit from a read by experienced grant reviewers.
  • Additional Peer Support
    Faculty Reviewers are highly knowledgeable and experienced W&L faculty members who volunteer their time to review and critique peer proposals.
