Washington and Lee University Teacher-Scholar Symposium
September 20 and 21, 2009
Transportation - all participants are are required to make their own arrangements for transportation to and from Lexington, VA. Following the Symposium, each participating institution will be reimbursed for expenses associated with travel in the amount of up to $500/participant. Only one request for reiumbursement will be accepted from each college/university and the request must be submitted by October 15, 2009. Registration will begin at 2:00 PM on Sunday and the first session will begin at 4:00 PM. The airport in Roanoke (ROA), VA is the closest airport to Lexington and is a one-hour drive to the Washington and Lee Campus. The Symposium will end at 3:00 PM on Monday.
Lodging - Participants will be lodged at the Hampton Inn Col Alto located at 401 E. Nelson St., Lexington, VA 2440. Given the limited number of rooms, participants are requested to share rooms when possible. All rooms will be direct-billed to Washington and Lee University. At check-in, guests will be asked to provide a form of payment for incidental expenses. Please submit lodging requests via the Symposium Registration Form included below.
Transportation to and from the Roanoke Airport - upon request, a shuttle will be provided to and from the airport and to and from the hotel prior to the beginning and at the end of each day. Please submit ground transportation requests via the Symposium Registration Form included below.
