Romance Languages Honors Top Majors

The Department of Romance Languages awarded prizes to its top majors on Thursday,May 28. The awards are presented to the rising seniors who best exemplify the passion for studying language and culture combined with the sustained performance in the classroom that the Romance Languages faculty truly appreciates in its students. This year the Amans Artium Bonarum Award for excellence in Spanish was presented to Natalie I. Bunnell, and the Elizabeth Garrett Award for excellence in French was presented to two equalling desrving French majors: Christopher M. Farrell and Katherine E. Simon.

Award recipients Natalie I. Bunnell and Chrsitopher M. Farrell join Prof. Matthew Bailey of Romance Languages in Tucker Hall to celebrate their achievement.  Katherine E. Simon is currently studying abroad in Paris, France.  The Department of Romance Languages currently has 9 rising senior French majors, and 16 rising senior Spanish majors.
