

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- The Washington and Lee golf team shot a third round score of 311 (303-302-311--916) to rank 15th out of 36 teams at the NCAA Division III Championship held at the PGA Village on Friday afternoon.
Host Methodist University leads the field after the third round, carding a team score of 279-303-289--871 (+7), while La Verne's Mitchell Fedorka leads the individual portion of the championship with 67-71-74--212 (+2).
Junior Joe Gibson (Atlanta, Ga,/Westminster) is the top W&L individual, ranking in a tie for 42nd place with a 73-70-83--226 (+10). Junior Brad Watts (Sewickley, Pa./Sewickley Academy) is tied for 45th with a 77-75-75--227 (+11), while junior Robert Womble (Raleigh, N.C./Broughton) is tied for 80th with a 75-83-75--233 (+17). Junior Matt Langan (Prospect, Ky./Trinity) and senior Andrew Green (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook) round out the W&L individuals. Langan is tied for 104th with a 84-77-78--239 (+23), while Green is tied for 110th with a 78-80-83--241 (+25).
Action continues on Saturday with the final round from the PGA Village.
