Assistant Professor of Philosophy Melina Bell and Assistant Professor of Philosophy Florentien Verhage are both featured in "W&L Faculty Recall Their Heroines" on the W&L website, as part of Women's History Month in 2009.
Prof. Bell remembers Victoria Constantine, her immigrant grandmother who served in the army in WWII, while Prof. Verhage remembers Gloria Anzaldúa, the feminist philosopher and poet.
