Washington and Lee sophomore goalkeeper Katharine Farrar (Lexington, Va./Episcopal) was named the Division III Defensive Player of the Week by womenslacrosse.com for the week ending March 2.
Farrar led the eighth-ranked Generals to a 10-9 win over No. 13 Catholic on Saturday. She played the first half and recorded eight saves, while only allowing four goals.
On the season, Farrar has started both of the Generals' wins and is registering a .500 save percentage and a 9.00 goals-against average.
Washington and Lee is 2-0 overall and opens ODAC play on Wednesday as they take on Bridgewater for a 4:00 pm game.
